PES Congress - Press corner
The Party of European Socialists will hold its 8 th Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, on 7-8 December 2009.
The Congress will focus on the future of progressive societies in the 21st century. The leaders of all member parties are expected to take part among the 1500 party delegates, member organisations, ministers, MEPs, activists and many local and international guests. The names of Prime Ministers and party leaders attending will be made available nearer the time.
Journalists are kindly invited to attend; all plenary sessions in the draft programme below are open to press, stills photographers and to TV cameras. All sessions mentioned hereunder will be filmed by the PES (pool leader) and footage will be available free on site and from our website – for queries regarding footage, please contact us.

Media facilities include:
A working space for journalists with desks, power supply for personal computers, free wi-fi, a limited number of computers and printers
A press conference room and interview areas
There will be interpretation throughout plenary sessions into English, French, German, Spanish and Czech.
