PES president Poul Nyrup Rasmussen on the upcoming PES activists Forum 09
"From September 11 to 13 the PES will organize together with the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) and the Irish Labour Party the PES activists Forum 09 in Dublin. The Forum will mark the opening of a debate within our family on the renewal of social democracy in Europe and provide a platform for discussion of key topics on the European agenda. Some 300 PES activists from all over Europe will take part."
"I can’t stress enough how important PES activists are for a progressive future. PES activists are a foundation on which we must build a stronger European party. We must work closer together than we ever have done before among social democratic and socialist parties across Europe. I believe that for this very reason it is of utmost importance to involve our activists in the discussion of PES renewal."
