Connecting to the PES activist city group network

Before joining the PES activist city group network, please read the definition of PES activist city groups.

Groups already existing

If you are active in an already existing group on European policies of your PES member party, joining the PES activist network for city groups is very easy. The same is true for existing groups of expatriates which members are from different PES member parties and who are engaged with local as well as European politics.

Setting up a group

If there is no group discussing European policies within your local or regional party section, you should inform yourself at your local party what opportunities exist to set up one. Take a look at the Google Map of PES activist city groups and find out if there are already groups from your member party connected to the network. Contact them about the procedures for setting up such groups within your PES member party.

Every new local group set up to discuss European policies should be inclusive and in agreement with the local party. Your group should fulfill this requirement to be on the list of PES city groups.
