Healthcare.
At this time, I am helping a friend, who is candidate, here in Belgium, for the European list, with his campaign. On the 16th of may I organise a debat about "the fure of "HEALTHCARE" in our Europe". So, naturally, I am looking for information to use and, to my consternation, up to now, my findings are that it appears to be very difficult to find concrete information about this topic. I already spend many hours searching on the internet, contacting persons, organisations,...and what I have encountered are good-willing texts, brochures, documents, statements, archives,...and so one, about Socialisme and "the making of..."a more social Europe. But specificaly about the content "healthcare" ? I'm still looking. Now any forward looking European knóws that HEALTHCARE is going to be one of Europe's greatest challenges, now and in the near future. THIS IS (!) what we are going to choose for in the next election : what do we want ? Which way are we going to follow : that of the Liberals and other right-directed parties in a more and more liberating and privatising Europe ? For a community where our Social Security ánd Healthcare will have 2 standards : 1 for those who CAN PAY for their health(care) and 1 for those who CANNOT PAY and care for themselves ? Then just look to the situation in the U.S.A., supposed to be the richest country in the world... I don't know about you, but I know what future for my children I want !
