"Edward Kennedy was one of the United States’ leading champions on the causes closest to the hearts of progressives worldwide with a career of vision, enthusiasm and determination wholeheartedly devoted to civil rights, minimum wages, healthcare, child care and immigration.
In the memory of Edward Kennedy, the Party of European Socialists would like to give all its support to all those who struggle to defend the rights of the most vulnerable and unprotected in our societies, those in need."
